Connie Urbanek, PTA

I am a Physical Therapist Assistant, co-owner of Parkinson's Connect (2021) and co-founder of Club Parkinson's (2021). I have served the therapy needs via home health, outpatient services, and in the LTC environment in Wichita since 1996. I along with my business colleague have provided the Wichita Area with two new resources for those who fight PD and their caregivers. My business experience provides a firm foundation that serves the Parkinson's community platform. I have spent many hours volunteering to serve the therapy needs of the community.
I have become an advocate for PWP and their caregivers/families as I have seen firsthand the many struggles throughout the progression of the disease.

My professional development is focused in Parkinson's Disease and I hold certifications in PWR! Moves, Urban Poling, Fall prevention, ACP modalities and am ATTP trained through the Parkinson's Foundation. I like to connect, build relationships and inspire my clients! I feel truly blessed as I have met some very amazing people in my journey to serve those with PD.

Let me introduce two new Wichita resources. Club Parkinson's is a not-for-profit charitable organization in Wichita, Kansas whose vision is to bridge the gap of being diagnosed with Parkinson's and living well. Our research-based programs are provided by Parkinson's certified therapists focused on improving the overall health and well being of our members. We accomplish this through fitness, mental health, education and support groups for those fighting Parkinson's Disease. Our team strives to include caregivers as a vital part of the program, creating an all-inclusive care model.

Parkinson's Connect is a mobile out-patient and wellness therapy clinic with services being provided in the home and community. We employ highly trained, Parkinson's certified, physical, occupational and speech therapists. Our therapists can design and customize a research-based Parkinson's program for people with Parkinson's at any stage of the disease.
