About you
After completing his BSc. Kinesiology degree at the University of Waterloo, Haseel decided to pursue his Master of Science at the Movement Disorders Research and Rehabilitation Centre (MDRC) in Waterloo, Ontario. It was here that he begins to appreciate the role exercise could play in the lives of individuals living with Parkinson"s disease. During this time, he created a 12-week PD-specific treadmill training program and was subsequently published in several peer-reviewed journals including Parkinson"s Disease and Parkinsonism and Related Disorders. Wanting to bridge the gap between research and hands-on therapy, Haseel went on to obtain his Masters of Physiotherapy in Scotland and completed his internship at the National Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence at Derby Teaching Hospital and the University of Nottingham. Upon his return to Canada, Haseel decided to create Parkinson"s Physiotherapy in hopes to better serve the PD community through research-driven rehabilitation.
