About you
I was born and raised in Kearney, Nebraska. I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. I then went on to earn my Doctorate of Occupational Therapy at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. I met my husband, Stephen, while attending school at Creighton and we got married while we were both still attending the OT program.
I began my OT career working in a pediatric outpatient clinic, but found my true passion was working with adults. I worked at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital where I was a member of the Joint Commission Accredited Stroke Program and discovered I truly loved working with patients with neurological conditions. I have worked with individuals with a variety of diagnoses such as Parkinson’s Disease, MS, ALS, Huntington"s Disease, PSP, stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, dementia, and other neurological conditions.
I currently work in an outpatient clinic where we specialize in treating individuals with Parkinson's disease and other neurological conditions. I am a LSVT-BIG Certified Clinician, PWR!Move Therapist, and certified in Low Vision assessment and intervention strategies.
I am very passionate about helping individuals live their highest quality of life by helping them achieve their own personal goals. I implement a holistic and client-centered approach in my treatment sessions and believe this is important in order to achieve the best outcomes for my patients.
A fun fact about me and my family is that my husband, mother, and sister-in-law are all OTs and also attended Creighton University. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, walking my dog, serving with college students through church, traveling, golfing, hiking, biking, and baking.
