Bethany Althaus, PT, DPT

Bethany completed her undergraduate and graduate education at Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. She earned a Bachelor’s in Health and Human Services with minors in psychology and gerontology and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. Bethany started her career working in inpatient rehabilitation at Braintree Rehab Hospital in Boston, MA where she gained valuable experience working on the spinal cord injury and wound care teams. During her time at Braintree rehab she had the opportunity to work with a variety of patient populations including complex orthopedics, neurological, and cardiac. She has special training and passion for treating patients with complex neurological conditions including Parkinson Disease. She has a special interest in improving the access to care in Maine for people living with PD and is the founder of a new group fitness program named Counter Force emphasizing high intensity exercise for PD patients. This program is generously funded through a grant from the Parkinson's Foundation. S
