I have been a PT for over 20 years and now have my dream job working at a Parkinson"s Foundation National Center of Excellence for movement disorders located in an inner-ring suburb of Minneapolis, MN. I have spent some time teaching neurology lab in a Physical Therapist Assistant program at Rasmussen University, but my passion is patient care and education and giving people hope. It is a privilege to watch people get BETTER, particularly in the context of a progressive disorder like Parkinson"s, where people don"t always realize all the tools that can help them move better, feel better, and live better.
I have two nearly grown daughters, and they still live with my husband and cat and me northeast of Struthers in Maple Grove, MN. We are outdoor people all year--even in winter--but we sure love to spend time at "the lake" in the summers!

I offer physical therapy appointments at Struthers Parkinson"s Center, an outpatient clinic, where we also have occupational therapists, neurologists, and speech therapists on site. We strongly believe in our team approach.
In addition to patient care appointments, I also teach 1-2 PD-focused exercise classes per week at Struthers for various stages of disease. We were virtual for a time, but classes are once again live on site post-COVID--though still masked! At Struthers, all our exercise classes are taught by physical or occupational therapists, and our speech therapists also assist with teaching our Cognitive class. One of our PT"s is certified in yoga instruction; two (soon to be 3 of us) are certified in Tai Ji instruction for our PD exercise offerings. We offer about 10 on-site classes per week for all stages of Parkinson"s and other movement disorders, support groups for various stages, music therapy, modified adult day services, education and more.
