About

About you
I grew up in Los Angeles, California where I played soccer and lacrosse since I was 8 years old. I experienced injuries that set back my participation in the game that I loved, which ultimately landed me in physical therapy clinics repeatedly. This is where I first experienced physical therapy. As a patient, I experienced one therapist who spent only 10 minutes with me and left me with an aide, which made me feel unimportant. Then, I experienced another therapist who spent the whole 40 minutes explaining my injury and the reasoning behind interventions. I always envied this type of career because they get paid to build relationships and help heal their patients both mentally and physically. The body always intrigued me as I grew up with a plethora of injuries, so physical therapy became the perfect avenue to combine both my love for anatomy and working with people.

As a new physical therapist, I have taken it upon myself to get as many certifications as I can in order to best represent and work with my clients. My certifications include PWR!Moves, LSVT Big, CSCS and will be Rock Steady Boxing certified in the next few months! One of the main reasons why I wanted to become a therapist was to provide quality healthcare to communities that are underserved. The Parkinson’s Foundation programs would be the first step to fulfilling this goal! Although I am a new therapist, I have learned so much under the other physical therapists at the Rogue and continue to challenge my clinical practice through mentoring and continuing education courses. It is truly inspiring to see the amazing gains these members have made since I have been here! I would like to continue to enrich people’s lives by promoting as much independence as possible.
