About you
Hey there, I’m Mattie Roesch-Orozco, a physical therapist committed to creating a space for you to feel heard and seen as I guide you through your recovery.
My journey to physical therapy began as a high school hospital volunteer, witnessing some incredible patient stories and learning from compassionate DPTs who shaped me along the way. I obtained my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California, and feel blessed to have learned from incredible professors and clinical instructors who encouraged my interest in working with people with orthopedic and neurologic conditions. I have experience serving people with Parkinson’s Disease, traumatic amputation, temporomandibular joint dysfunction, cervicogenic headaches, chronic pain, and dizziness or balance disorders. Additionally, I am a PWR!Moves Certified Therapist and an LSVT BIG Certified Clinician (Parkinson"s Disease recovery) and have a background in physical therapy research with the Department of Defense.
Before I became a physical therapist, I spent time studying literature, acoustic guitar, music theory, and vocal performance, so expect our sessions to include creative and artistic experiences! Outside of work, I enjoy playing and discovering new music, reading fiction, taking care of my (many!) plants, and hiking with my partner.
I am very excited to work with you, especially if you are someone who has been told “I don’t know what’s wrong with you†or “I’m not sure what to do next to help you.†I will work to empower you towards recovery and connect you with a team of health professionals who will help guide you along the way.
