Suzanne Atcavage, MPT, DPT, Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy

Hello! I have been a PT for more than 25 years, first earning my Master Of Physical Therapy from Temple University in 1994 and later my Doctorate, also from Temple in 2006. In 2021, I received designation by the Federal State Board of Physical Therapy as a Neurological Clinical Specialist (NCS). My husband and I are both physical therapists and have had our own private practice since 1997, which has expanded to five locations - Forest City, Hawley, Carbondale, Dunmore, and Honesdale - all in Northeast PA. I practice out of the Honesdale location - as that location was opened specifically to "feed my passion" which is working with people with the neurologically impaired populations. I am passionate about people with Parkinson"s Disease - my father is 10 years since his initial diagnosis and a driving force behind me to continuously learn more, do more, offer more. I also have a vestibular specialty background - and the treatment of dizziness, vertigo and balance fit easily into the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders, such as Parkinson"s disease. In 2020, I started a Rock Steady Boxing Class and now have about 10 boxers twice a week. My intention is to expand that programming, with PWR!Moves classes, yoga and pilates, and hybrid classes. There"s so much to do! And I"m so excited to still be passionate and want to do more! So happy to be part of the PWR! family!

On a personal level, I have two amazing children - Ashley is 23 and Alex is 20. I enjoy running and equestrian activities!
